Ground Floor

The front door opens symmetrically into the entrance hall which has huge original blue lias flagstones. The entrance hall is furnished with a lovely mahogany table/snooker table, as well as antique oak chests, benches and Glastonbury chairs. The whole of the ground floor is flagged except for the sitting and drawing rooms which are carpeted with large oriental rugs. The sitting and drawing rooms have sufficient sofas, armchairs  and upholstered chairs to seat everyone comfortably. Although there is full central heating in every room, there is also a cheering log burning stove for your toast and chestnuts. (Come in October and pick from the tree!). The dining room has an original AGA in an inglenook and a chestnut & oak refectory table which, with its extensions, can seat 18. There is also another oak & elm table that can seat a further 10. Through the back hall to the left of the back door is the W.C. and laundry room and to the right is the utility room with freezer and tumble drier. The back kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for catering for a large group. The Rangemaster oven has 2 ovens, so including the AGA, the cook has 3 ovens, one warming oven and a microwave at his or her disposal.
